 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Write, proof and edit content for catalogs, websites, e-mail, internet display & print ads, collateral, and product instructions as well as other special projects as needed, including SEO copy and additional web content (i.e. blogs, video scripts, and content for distribution channels such as Amazon, QVC, and others)
  • Adhere to all content standards and production deadlines; adjust voice/style based on brand and medium
  • Maintain, update and utilize database/content management system for all product copy for assigned brand(s)
  • Work closely across departments (i.e. merchandising, marketing, customer service and PSQC) to develop on-brand themes and content while maintaining consistent voice and supplying appropriate product labeling/warnings per federal standards
  • Research product attributes and trademark registration; act as liaison with legal department in the acquisition of trademarks for product names
  • Partner with Art Directors and Graphic Designers in catalog and web production; contribute visual ideas where relevant
  • Assist in producing and managing social media content for Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram and others.
  • Provide guidance on brand voice and style to contracted content writers and interns as needed; give feedback and direction on appropriate tasks and duties to ensure on-time delivery of projects
  • Create content for public relations and internal company needs
  • Conduct public relations outreach using database and other media resources
  • Follow the company's C.L.E.A.R. values/guiding principles

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent level of on-the-job experience or training
  • Strong background in writing; retail, catalog, and/or e-commerce copywriting experience a plus
  • 2-5 years related or relevant experience preferred; previous experience writing content for children's toys and apparel strongly preferred
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of SEO and social media channels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity and comfort with one or more content management systems desired; familiarity with InDesign a strong plus
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time and multiple priorities independently and under deadline
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is an absolute must
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; team player
